A Leader in Many Fields: PSE Principal mentors Team in Training® Athletes

PSE supports athletes helping to raise money towards cures for blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

PARADIGM Principal Kurt Lindorfer, who volunteers as a training captain/coach for Team in Training® (TNT) San Francisco/Marin chapter, has competed in numerous races with TNT himself, including several “Wildflower” events & Santa Cruz Big Kahuna over the last year.

TNT provides training to run or walk marathons and half marathons or participate in hiking adventures, triathlons and cycle events, and participants raise money on behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Over the past 20 years, more than 420,000 Team In Training® participants have raised $1 billion for lifesaving blood cancer research; last year alone Kurt’s team contributed to groups in Northern California who raised $13M to help find a cure.

Constantly encouraging PSE employees to pursue volunteer activities and achieve their own personal goals, he says of his experience with TNT, “The friends you meet along the way and the wonderful feeling of helping others, as you do for others what they may not be able to do for themselves, is truly a rewarding and wonderful experience.”

This year, the TNT Greater San Francisco Bay Area members are participating in the following events:

• Marin County Triathlon: San Rafael, CA, Oct. 31, 2010
• Vineman Triathlon: Sonoma County, CA, Aug. 2011
• Ironman Canada: Penticton, BC, Aug. 28, 2010
