Outside of school/work Alec enjoys hiking, playing sports like soccer and basketball, and any activities that involves the outdoors.  In addition, he likes watching sports, mostly football, soccer, and basketball.  Alec likes traveling and every summer his family will usually do a backpacking trip,

Originally, Alec was going to school for electrical engineering, however he was always drawn to the structural classes.  He enjoys the problem-solving aspect and he feels like structural engineering will allow him to have a positive impact on the world.
