Santana Row project situated at the intersections of Stevens Creek Boulevard and Winchester Boulevard in San Jose, California. PARADIGM provided the structural consulting for three of the original structures which has now been built out to include office structures, along with additional mixed-use spaces of commercial and residential units. The structures designed by PARADIGM consist of three stories of wood framed residential units over a post-tension podium level at the second floor typically housing the commercial spaces, over structured subterranean parking. The framing system consisted of conventional wood studs, TJI joists, and plywood shear walls and diaphragms. In some locations, conventional wood framed shear walls were replaced with steel braced frames to allow for a greater quantity of openings along the exterior walls. $24M total construction costs.
